Our award-winning lighting design centred on the handmade rattan sculpture, making it the focal point. We created a dynamic interplay of movement and shadows inspired by nature’s beauty. A reflection was incorporated, mirroring the sculpture’s forms and contributing to an immersive experience akin to a second sunset. We envisioned the sculpture becoming a colossal luminaire, casting playful shadows reminiscent of traditional Thai lanterns. The design not only received accolades but also wove joy into Chiang Mai’s cultural fabric, honouring local natural materials and craftsmanship.
