Homerun Izakaya. Moonshot Bites, Midnight Anthems.
What the client needed
The client set out to create a highly social, energetic izakaya in Ekkamai a space built around visibility, movement, and shared experience. With open grills, a central yakitori bar, and screens always in view, the venue needed to feel lively, informal, and constantly in motion.
Operating from early evening through to late night, the lighting needed to adapt capturing guests before and after the club below. The brief was to create a scheme that feels bright and engaging early on, while shifting into something more immersive and playful as the night progresses.
Our solution
We designed a lighting scheme that supports the venue’s changing rhythm. In the main dining areas, lighting is brighter and more focused around the grill and bar, with softer edges to maintain depth and flow across the space.
Deeper within the venue, the mood shifts. Private dining and karaoke rooms introduce a more playful layer, with neon accents, disco ball reflections, and a dynamic RGBW stretched ceiling that evolves through the night.
The result is a space that transitions naturally from casual dining to late-night socialising, keeping the energy up and the atmosphere effortless.
